A 1969 autopsy specimen from a 69 year old woman who had had Raynaud's disease of the fingers since the age of 16. She was subsequently diagnosed as having progressive systemic sclerosis (scleroderma). She developed dysphagia which worsened slowly during the last few years of her life and became increasingly troubled by constipation.
