A 1938 autopsy specimen from a 38 year old woman, admitted with stabbing pain in the right side of the abdomen of about three months duration. On admission she was pyrexial and vomiting. The liver was considerably enlarged, hard and nodular. She died a few days after exploratory laparotomy.
