A 1937 surgical resection specimen (Archibald McIndoe) comprising a large excised portion of skin and underlying connective tissue showing an extensive irregular area of chronic ulceration measuring approximately 10 x 4cm. The ulcer has undermined edges and shows numerous satellite foci of necrosis and suppuration.Ã?, From a man aged 37 who grazed his knee in the Assam jungle which was followed by intractable ulcer of the skin.Ã?, Healing only occurred after excision and skin graft 13 months later.
