Vascular Pathology: Vascular Disease: Aortic Dissection in Marfan's Syndrome

An autopsy specimen from a 59 year old man who presented with chest pain which he described as having a'tearing' quality. On examination there were features of gross aortic regurgitation with marked venous congestion of the head and neck. Further stigmata of Marfan's syndrome were also noted.
