One of the leading scientists on the European Space Agency’s Juice mission to Jupiter, Michele Dougherty, talks to Space Boffins’ Richard Hollingham about icy moons, magnetic fields, life elsewhere in the solar system and how they came up with the name. Meanwhile co-host Sue Nelson talks to Caroline Harper, head of space science at the UK Space Agency, about the latest on launch preparations in French Guiana - Juice will be one of the last on an Ariane 5. Plus, the hidden history of Space Shuttle Enterprise. Richard and Sue meet Eric Boehm, Curator of Aviation at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum, to discuss the prototype shuttle’s test flights, its role in the aftermath of the Columbia disaster and the military space shuttle.
