Gastrointestinal Pathology: Colon: Endometriosis of the Sigmoid Colon

This 34 year old woman developed intermittent lower abdominal pain with loose diarrhoea containing mucus. The symptoms were worst during menstruation. A barium enema (see photo) showed a stricture in the sigmoid colon. This was resected and she was treated with Danazol.
