Katherine Benson is a PhD student at Queen’s University Belfast researching the genetics and epigenetics of new onset diabetes after kidney transplantation using next generation sequencing technologies. She is originally from Co. Cork, Ireland and completed her Bachelor of Science degree in genetics at University College Cork.
