#genes2shape: Asymmetry... in snails

Using snails to decode the genetics of left-right asymmetry
28 November 2013
Presented by Simon Bishop

Lymnaea stagnalis, the great pond snail, is a species of large air-breathing freshwater snail, an aquatic pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Lymnaeidae.

Recorded at the 2013 Genetics Society Autumn Meeting 'From Genes to Shape', Simon Bishop meets Harriet Johnson, who works on the genes behind left-right asymmetry... in snails.
