Amanda Hodgson is a Research Fellow in the Aquatic Megafauna Research Unit at Murdoch University; her research focus is on dugongs, aerial surveys, and adapting new technology, such as drones and artificial intelligence, for marine mammal monitoring. She continues to seek innovative methods to improve our understanding of status and conservation needs of marine mammals globally.
